The large-fruited plum variety selected from the Tanme strain in Xiangshan County, Zhejiang Province, has a medium-strong tree vigor, an open tree shape, and round fruits. Wuzi yangmei is a local specialty variety of Xiangshan County, named after its dark purple-black color when ripe. The fruit shape is large, with an average single fruit weight of 18.5 grams and a maximum of over 30 grams. The fruit skin is dark purple, the flesh is thick, the juice is abundant, the taste is sweet and sour, and the soluble solids content is over 11.5%, with a maximum of up to 14.6%. The edible rate is 94.2% and the juice yield is 83.4%. The fruit core is slightly large, sticky, hard in texture, and resistant to storage. The ripening period is in mid to late June, about 7 days earlier than Dongque Yangmei in the local area.
