The Snow White Persimmon was developed by Sichuan Agricultural University and is a new variety of persimmon with white flesh. This variety is renowned for its large size, pure white flesh and sweet taste.
Fruit color: The flesh is milky white or pure white, crystal clear and much whiter than the yellowish-white flesh of ordinary white persimmons.
Fruit size: It belongs to a large-sized fruit variety. The average weight of a single fruit exceeds 70 grams, and the maximum can reach over 120 grams. Currently, it is the largest-sized variety among white-fleshed persimmons in China.
Flavor characteristics: The flesh is smooth and juicy, tender in texture, and easily melts. The taste is rich and sweet, with a slight hint of sourness or pure sweetness. The content of soluble solids exceeds 15%, and the edible rate is high (75% - 80%).
This variety matures in the Chongqing area in early May each year, while in places like Hanyuan in Sichuan Province, it comes onto the market from mid-May to late May.
