Description:
Flavor King is a premium late-season interspecific hybrid fruit, developed by renowned breeder Floyd Zaiger through multiple generations of plum and apricot crossing. Containing 75% plum and 25% apricot genetics , this variety delivers an unparalleled eating experience with extraordinary sweetness and a distinctive rose aroma. It was introduced to China through the national "948" project and officially recognized in 2003 .

Appearance:
The fruit is near-round with a slightly pointed apex, resembling a peach in shape. It features a beautiful purple-red skin with a waxy gloss, and when cut open, the bright red flesh creates a stunning visual contrast .

Flavor:
Exceptionally sweet with a soluble solids content of 18%–21%  – among the highest for any pluot variety. The fruit is rich with a distinctive rose fragrance. At 80% ripeness, the flesh is crisp like a peach; when fully ripe, it becomes soft, tender, and incredibly juicy .

Size:
Average fruit weight is 90–92g, with large specimens reaching up to 145g under optimal management .
